Hi,
I got my GCMS notes yesterday, and it said I was given two study permits, one that was authorised, and one that was cancelled. They have different document numbers, so I should still have a study permit.

Both permits were created and updated on the 23rd of May. It has been two months since then (and 3 months total) and I still do not have my recommendation letter, which is why I ordered my GCMS notes. (I applied through SDS).

In the "Final" section of Assessments, it also says "Approved".

So I was wondering, IF I DONT GET MY LETTER ON TIME, could I use my GCMS notes to get my study permit on the border? I wont get a visa stamp, but they have issued me an eTA that is also mentioned on the GCMS notes.

No, GCMS will not suffice the CBSA. They require you to have the counterfoil and your letter of introduction.
