US vistor applying for Canada Visitor visa

Hi, i am a Indian citizen staying USA on visitor visa. I have applied for Canada visitor Visa.
1. If my canada visitor Visa is accepted can I enter directly to Canada without going back to India?
2. Can I immigrate/enter Canada through Niagara by road?

Just to add that whilst if you get a Canada visitor visa you can enter Canada by road from the US you will of course be expected to demonstrate you have travel arrangements to leave Canada at the end of your planned visit.
