I thought the battle was over with immigration Canada but here we are.
I filed my PR spouse's taxes with mine last year online through tax software -- not knowing that we should have sent it into the mail. I used his temp SIN as this was the SIN he used while he worked on an OWP. Of course, we didn't get his notice of assessment. Should we re-submit last year's information to CRA?? I tried to register him under his new SIN but there is an issue with it, it said they needed to verify his information.
On top of that, we realize that he still has to file his US taxes (even with 0 income) for all the time that he was here on 2 years of Temp/Visitor Visa/Ext.Visit.
What should be our steps here? What is the best way to go about correcting this without an HR Block type service?
