You need a valid TRV to enter Canada.

You would only be able to enter from the US without a TRV if you were previously in Canada, traveled only to the US (no other country) and are now returning to Canada. However it looks like you've traveled to India, so this isn't possible. You need the TRV.

You definitely won't be allowed into Canada without a valid TRV.
