You seems to have problem interpreting english language and I don't seems to understand what's your concern here? So asking how s\he got to know the prints are not okay is insulting to you? I'd rather not trade words with you because its clear you have some issues yourself. Whoever I directed by questions to I'm sure perfectly understood what exactly I was asking and some reasonable people have also contributed that's all that matters. May I also clarify that my questions were not directed at you and I don't expect a response from you.
HMMMMM, born, raised, college educated with a major respectable University and an Ivy League grad school degree, from the USA. I don't think I have an issue with the English language. But, I thank you for being concerned about my English skills! :-\

toronto30....I feel your pain and I'm sure you understand my questions. There wasn't anything insulting in my questions as I was only trying to establish what went wrong in your case before commenting/advising. We're all in this situation together to support each other and in such a forum like this we will have different kinds of people with different ideologies and reasonings. I will suggest (if you haven't done so already) to call FBI and ask what they can do for you to fast track your request if you can produce a new prints. Let them know the deadline CIC gave you and I'm sure you will be met with favour. Few times I have called the FBI to make enquiries they've been very friendly and helpful. If you don't already have their number, use this: 304-625-5590

All the best

hello everyone
I have called fbi last week, while my card was charged 29th of may.
and that agent told me the finger prints were legible, meaning rejected and have been forwarded a new set of printing cards to my address and unfortunately she also said it will take 12-14 weeks again.

Just wondering if anyone knows how long the fingerprints are valid for. I read before it was 90 days and can't remember where I saw someone post that it is now longer? Thanks

You can find the information in the link below. "Who needs a police certificate" ----> "For the country you currently live in."

So not only do we wait 5 months to get the back ground check but you don't even know if the prints are good until then? My husband despite my request to get multiple copies only got one card done. I am pissed that he did that and I just about chopped his nuts off because we've been apart for years and I can't do this travel crap anymore now that I am super sick and he can't travel because he has a job. I'm tempted to get him to go get 5 done and send in a second request just to be safe. I'm wondering what the likely hood that they will not be okay is considering he got them done at the police station. It's bad enough they changed their mind about third party ones after we freaking got one but now I have to not know if it's okay for 5 months. I am so frustrated, this entire process has been hell and costing a fortune putting us into debt we likely will never pay off. This is ridiculous.

I'm not sure if they are using some stone age technology coz my understanding of automation of process is to make things faster not slow down like snail. no other option but to wait, fingers crossed.

When is the most strategic time in the application process to send in a police report once one as received AOR? Is it safe to send as soon as you have AOR? I want as little of a delay as possible.

The actual fingerprints themselves DO expire. You must send the FBI card within 90 days of having your fingerprints taken, or they will not process the request. This is why the name of the person taking the prints and the date they were taken, is even on the form.

The FBI letter that you receive, is now valid, in some cases, for more than 90 days.

Yes thank you, I did do some more research and found that for a U.S. citizen it's valid for 6 months.

Hi everyone. I just called the FBI. They are currently *processing* prints received on April 2, and *opening* prints received April 14. Hope that helps!

The FBI received my Prints April 10th and my credit card was charged today.
I hope the card being charged means there were no issues with my prints and I will get the background check within 2 weeks or so.
Will keep you all posted.
