I have a question concerning b1/b2 tourist visa for USA. After the interview, if the out come is positive : are you going to have the visa the same day or they need ur physical presence to give you back ur passport after 48 hours or they will post it (passport with visa ) by mail. Thank you

They confirm or refuse same day. If approved, they will keep your travel doc and return it by mail. If refused, they will give your doc back same day during interview.

Hi! Anyone with recent interview experience at the Vancouver consulate. Where do I keep my cellphone for a 8:30 am appointment? Are there any storage facilities available with the security? Thanks!
Hey I have upcoming interview, can u share your experience?
Appreciate that

Hi guys, I have my US visa interview next week and wondering what questions were asked during the interview.
I have RTD but no PR. Right now I'm focused more on ties in Canada. I have docs for my full-time job, lease, bank statement, and also my school admission for the Fall.
Any tips?
Document that you have is more then enough , they probably not going to ask any questions

I have 2 questions here when you applied for US visa and in DS 160 form in passport type which option u have select as your don’t have your regular passport right ??

Q2- when you mentioned that your passport issue country is Canada (RTD) and ur nationality is other countries did u gets any message

If you can share your experience that would be great

On the options, you will see OTHER, select that and a box will show below, where you will write refugee travel documents.

A question is going to pop up asking you to confirm your nationality is different from the country of issuance of your travel document and you just click yes and proceed.

That should be all!!

Thanks for you advice I will try my best but I have this concern
1 I refused multiple visa before 10 years back home
2. I have sisters and brothers in us citizens
3. My mom has green card
I heard That if u have strong ties in US it will make it difficult to get visit visa
Any words
We had earlier USA visa Category B sub category B1/B2.

I Did selected this this time Category B sub category B2 and completed with e sign later I realise I did incorrect selection for my DS 160 form no fee paid no appointment booked yet.

I can't able to modify it any more is there is any option I can delete this particular DS 160 for re fill another one ?

Or I can proceed with same and write to embassy that this mistake happen,

I have 3 family member their DS form yet to be finalised for them I should do same as their previous B1/B2 rite and proceed with me as is with no change

Looking for advice

You can't delete it but if you have no appointment and haven't paid for it, you can just ignore it - it won't stop you from making a new and fresh application from scratch.

I think it's better to just refile. The officer will most likely just look at the app in front of them only, and it'll look better I think if they can't see any mistakes (even if innocent).

Yes, I agree with this!

Someone had the same question some years ago (albeit in a different country and embassy),

https://travel.stackexchange.com/qu...ble-to-bring-my-baby-to-the-us-visa-interview

That person was fine and had a good experience with the baby ("not only was the baby allowed in the interview, they let us jump all the queues.") but another commenter had a very good idea here: "Perhaps the safest course of action is to take the child with your, as well as another non-applying friend or family member who can care for her should the interviewer not desire her presence."

And another wrote this, `during the actual visit "no, I can't do this, because your kids are not here".` implying that you might actually need your youngest with you during the interview (even if told otherwise in writing).
