You can apply for visitor visa.

if you want legal stay here, it would be a problem, need new or other visa.

I don't think it is a good idea, because all your visa record will be reviewed by VO , even be investigated.
so how to answer question such as: why you apply student visa, then don't abide it . if can't explain very well. they can treat it as cheating . that would be serious.
