And you can have a photo of yourself taken with the company office identification prominently in the picture. Do you have an ID badge, business card, etc that you can also include? Good luck

Steve - I completely agree with you that these cases would not be uncommon - that is how the international businesses run today.
However, I think it also depends on the VO who will to assess the application!

I think you're right. We have seen cases where applicants who work for Indian employers but posted in Canada have been refused, even with a letter from their Indian employer, because they can't get the letter from the Canadian branch. We could debate the fairness of whether the same should be true for US (or Australian) employers, but my experience has been that CIC grants no special favors ...

Thanks Jes and Pippin.

Well, the thing is - I work for Canadian Company, and that is clearly mentioned in my reference letter, and evident from WP, pay slips, T4, assessment record etc. All of these I have provided to CIC. The only gap was the letter was written in US letterhead showing US address.

My HR has clarified in a separate letter that as per our company policy all reference/verification maintained by corporate HR. Incidentally they are located in US division!

Thanks again.

Good luck, and post again to let us know how it works out!
