Hi,

The person who's going to sign my service letter is the HR Manager. But he just signs it when my boss gives the approval. the HR manager does not know much about my duties. Since, he's the one signing , when I send the letter to the CHC , I am supposed to attach his business card and it would be him who is going to contacted in case. Actually, I can't get my boss to directly sign the letter as it's not the policy here.

So, do I need to keep the HR Manager notified, if some one inquires about me, that he must direct it to my boss and would this be all right ?

Bye the way, does the CHC contact the employer in every case ?

please respond - Urgent
thanks in advance

Hi,

My openion is that it is your Company's own policy and procedure, which others cannot suggest exactly how to deal. However, you need to convince and negotiate with your HR Manager, to favourably respond to any enquiry about your employment, in case it will happen, from any agency delegated by CIC.

Others may have different opinions.

I agree. It may be a problem if the HR Manager is uncooperative or unable to address the questions, but in many mid-to-large size companies, firms and organizations that is how requests of this nature are handled and so shouldn't catch any one enquiring from Canada too much off guard. After all, this is an example of why HR Managers exist. Good luck!

Usually, in most of the large companies/firms/organisations, the HR Dept. or Personal Manager or Administration Manager handles such matters and the immediate boss of the employee may not be authorised to provide any certification on letter head with logo and seal. But, if the employee maintains a good relation (?) with the Management the normal procedures/practices can be over-ruled.

This is a very normal scenario. I have 5 such letters from my all employers signed by HR after approval from my Managers. In all cases HR has a copy of reference letter with them. When HR will be contacted they will read out the R&R from the letter providing a confirmation about your main duties. Don’t worry ruka it will go fine. Wish you all the best

Thanks a lot for all your replies !

I am trying hard to get through this.

thanks again for all your help, individually

Do not worry my friend, all our wishes are with you, Godwilling you will get visa smoothly in normal time frame

dear ruka,
this is a very obvious thing that ref letter will be signed by hr people. I did the same.
CHC employees also know that hr manager does not handle technical querries. they will not ask hr manager about responsibilities, if they need they can request the hr manager to talk to the technical people.
Atleast chc people know to whom they are talking to ie hr manager or a technical person.
don't worry too much.
and one more thing if you have given a letter describing your responsibilities in the company then there is no chance chc will call to confirm this.
