my wife is a mexcian and she is living in canada on a 3 work permit .I am in canada aswell but i am here on a study permit. My study permit finishes in 6 months.

Can i apply to immigration canada for new status ie( work permit) because my wife is here on a work permit?

Please some information on this matter is needed

If she is a live-in caregiver, then no, you can not stay just because you are married. You would have to qualify for your own work permit. If you are studying, you may qualify for a post-grad work permit when you graduate, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad.asp

you can apply for a work after your study permit.. that is allowed in canada.

Only if he meets the criteria. Sounds like his study permit was only for 6 months. Minimum program length criteria is 8 months.
