Hello there to anyone who can help answer the question I have. I recently applied for a study permit after exhausting the years on my work permit. Unfortunately for me I got refused because apparently I uploaded a passport picture in the area they required my passport bio data page. The problem is that I applied a day before my PGWP expired and now that my application has been refused I am now out of status.
I am very well aware that I can apply for a restoration of status because I am still within the 90days, however I am confused on what form to use between the IMM5708 (Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder) or IMM5709 (Application to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Student). I am also not clear on what options to tick under section 3 of both files, considering I am transiting from a work to a study permit.
I would appreciate a speedy response from anybody, as I am short of time. Thank you in advance. Cheers!
