I have applied for PR under CEC in Nov 2013 and get my AOR.

I have a valid work permit till June 2015.

My wife have visitor record till March 2014 only.

Can I apply an open work permit for her?

If yes, can she will be in implied status while her work permit in process or not.

Also do I need to apply for a visitor record extension also if I am applying for her work permit.

And can both of these application run in parallel?

Yes you can apply open work permit to her.

Yes. But now the processing time is just 15 days. Hence if you apply by next week, she'll get before expiry. However implied status is not going to harm anyway.

No need to apply both. Either visitor record extension or work permit enough to continue to stay in Canada. If she would like to work go for work permit or go for visitor record extension.

And can both of these application run in parallel?
