Urgent PR Renewal Card Timeline (Dec 2021)

Hi there,

Sharing my urgent PR card renewal timeline and application details

PR application sent (First attempt) - Nov 26
Application returned (Missed checking a box) - Dec 8
PR application resent - Dec 8
Received - Dec 13
AOR - Dec 14



My situation:
Canadian Citizenship application is being processed. Did not renew Indian passport or canadian PR card.
Mom got sick in India.
Consulate general in Toronto is asking for renewed PR card to issue passport.

Documents included in application:

1. Letter from hospital
2. Letter explaining why urgent processing is required
3. Copy of urgent Indian passport renewal online application status stating renewed PR requirement
4. Letter explaining why I have not purchased tickets (no passport)
5. Print out of email sent by visa office in India stating they are not processing new Canadian visa applications currently (PRTD)
6. Canadian employer letter showing I have a FT job since 2015 ( included a letter mentioning I have to return to my job and family here in Canada)

I also have my local area MP involved.
They will attempt to expedite since I received my AOR but not holding my breath.

Will post updates.
