Can anyone please confirm if the below is true?
I am a protected person my passport was seized since 16/3 can I just go to the border and ask for my passport back this easily? I really want to leave the country

1. If your refugee claim has been accepted and you are conventional Refugee you can apply for Travel Document and when you apply for TD they (CIC) will request your passport or Notice of Seizure, in this case you can go to CBSA and you can request your original passport and for the purpose to get Travel Document and when they give it to you you can do what ever you want with it if you are so keen to get your original passport.

You wouldn't getting back the passport. If IRB determines that you are a convention refugee then you can apply for Travel document with IRB letter and verification of status letter. Overall process takes 20-30 days.
