URGENT PLEASE!! Changed DLI's but also program levels and lengths!

I hold a 1 year ESL study permit.
I have been accepted at a 2 year International Business Management program.

The new program has a co-op program and other international students are working part time, however, my original ESL permit state's I can't work. Once I change DLI's will I get issued a new permit that allows me to work? Or do I need to apply for a brand new student permit?

Also, can I immediately begin my new program or do I need to wait until I hear back from immigration in regards to my transfer? I do not see a processing time for changing DLI's - not sure if I will receive any correspondence in regards to my transfer after I've completed it!

I also want a new student permit that shows my new program because my son can't attend school if I study ESL, I need to be enrolled in a different program - now that I am, I need proof of my new program so I can put him in school. Another reason for having a brand new student permit issued with the transfer...

so - will I get it or do I have to apply for a brand new student permit?

You don't need a new study permit, you just update your DLI on myCIC website and that's it. You wont be issued anything new.
