I am a Pakistani citizen applying for a study permit for Canada for Fall 2017. I wanted to ask if doing it online is better or through the paper application?

Online applications are generally a lot faster than applying through the paper option. If you apply via paper it will take a considerably longer amount of time for your application to be processed.
