Hi everyone,

My wife and I have completed the entire spousal visa application and have just printed off the receipt online (applying Outland from the UK). We are going through the checklist to finalise everything and noticed it says the receipt is to be "Properly Completed" -- the receipt is an electronic PDF file that is already filled in with my name (we used my credit card). It also has a few lines that say "DOB, Client ID, Address, Post Code, Telephone Number". Now, should I fill these in? If so, I'm assuming with my details, as it has already populated my name? Also, if I am to fill out these lines, what should I do for the Client ID, as I haven't received any type of ID? One last thing -- there are not enough boxes for our postcode here in the UK, nor our telephone number on the sheet. Any help will be incredibly appreciated, as we would like to ideally get this out tomorrow morning.

Thanks very much.

Shaun

FYI: It is my wife (British Citizen) who is the applicant and I am the sponsor.

Shaun - the receipts always just confirm the amount of money that was paid
you need to physically put in the information DOB, Address, etc. you won't get your client id until cic sends you a communication.

hope this helps.

Canadianinlove,

Great, thanks so much! We've filled in everything except for the Client ID part. So once we ship out the whole lot to Mississauga, what exactly happens at that point? Will we get an email, letter, phone call, (carrier pigeon?) coming back to us saying that it has been received and perhaps a login or something to keep track of it? I've paid for everything, so they do not have to come back to us asking for us to purchase the residence permit or anything. Just not entirely sure what happens next!

Thank you! We both really appreciate your help immensely.

Shaun

The infos on the receipt are for a possible refund if needed - hope not.
I made the online payment using my grandfather's credit card and filled with his information.

Perfect - fingers crossed a refund won't be needed!

And once the application has been received in Mississauga, will they then mail us or email us a number, or login details? I'm assuming you can somehow check your status along the way?

Thanks again

Yes - Timeline nowadays is for 30 days to receive AoR with UCI and file numbers.
With these you'll be able to check how's things going.
Altought it's not a rule, they may or may not send any acknowledge of receipt.
If the sponsor have any past application, s/he already have the UCI.
