PLS GUYS HELP ME! I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN HERE SINCE GRADE 11
I finished from university here in Canada in August, 2014 but my Graduation Ceremony and conferring of degree did not happen till September 2015. My student Visa expired in August 2014, and the Canadian law implied that I had to apply for my post graduate work permit 90 days after graduation. So I applied for a work permit and 3 years was issued in September 2014. I was unable to get a job because all the Jobs required that I had my degree on hand, and since I didn’t get my degree until a year later one year passed me by.
I am very entrepreneurial so I started my own business that year, and also called immigration Canada to see if I can take a 6 months’ + work program vocational course, and I was advised that if the program is under a year I can go ahead. So whilst waiting to get my Undergraduate degree on hand I took a short program to while away time and worked on my business. In 2015 I applied to various programs in and outside of Canada. Fortunately for me I got a partial scholarship to take my MBA program in Europe (I was very fortunate, so I took this opportunity to learn better for my business) MBA programs are super expensive($80-100k) everywhere so when I got a limited time scholarship I had to cease the opportunity even if it meant that I had to leave my comfort zone (Canada) for a year.
In conclusion, 2 years went by and I wasn’t able to take advantage of my 3 years’ work permit due to circumstanced beyond my control. I came back to Canada in August 2016 to finally start my business hands on, and also find a Job as well, and eventually to apply for my PR. I have invested over 25,000CAD of my savings into my innovative business. I was also fortunate enough to receive an entry level position at Scotia Bank to start in March 2016. I will appreciate the opportunity to get a 1 or 2 year’s extension on my open work permit, because the first 2 years were inadmissible due to the circumstances I explained earlier, and also because I have invested my life here and would love to see my business grow and well as my chances at this new position with Scotia. I have been in Canada since my last year of high school days in 2010, I am just starting a new job and I don’t want to be a needy employee in first few months of hire.
so please what is the best way to get an extension, an LMO is super hard to get in 4 months, and i had no clue that my pgwp had a time cap. Do you think the reasons listed above will allow them consider me for atleast a one year extension. I ant leave my new business behind and my job offer! PLEASE HELP ME GUYS
