@darkhorse001 - Similar situation. LMIA exempt on closed work permit. My employer added a note on the letter saying -
Offer of Ongoing Employment
We also confirm that we wish to continue to employ XXX in the position set out above on an indefinite, full time basis once XXX becomes a permanent resident.

See if you can get something similar. It worked in my case.
I got COPR last week. waiting for my PR cards. Good luck to you!
Did this give 50 points

So to count 50 points, your employer must file for a LMIA proving no Canadian or PR can do the job. The employer pays $1k and shows that the job was posted and no one was qualified but you. Once you have a LMIA, you can count 50 points.
Okay

How to get 50 points if I worked on closed Work Permit for one year for a Employer, but now working with a different employer as they got my work permit transferred to their name. Can I still claim the 50 points? Please provide your inputs.

You need to answer the questions you were asked in your other thread. This is not enough information to answer your question.

Assume you got a new LMIA for the change in job because you cannot transfer a work permit.

I got the new LMIA-Exempt Employer specific work permit under Public Policy Exemption with a new Employer. So I guess I'll have to wait for one more year and can't claim points of One year exp. with previous employer :(

Yes you need to wait a year to claim the 50 points on LMIA exempt permit.

Since it's an LMIA-exempt work permit, you must wait another year.

If it was an LMIA supported work permit and your new employer had obtained an approved LMIA, you would be able to claim the 50 points now.

This is not true. You can claim the 50 points on an LMIA-exempt work permit as long as you've worked in Canada for that employer for one full year and the employer provides you with a letter stating they will continue to employ you for a year after you get PR. OP is on a closed work permit that is LMIA exempt and therefore qualifies under this rule if they can get the letter.
Would you mind elaborating it, please?
Does that mean we don't really need LMIA to claim those 50 points?
If our employer for whom we are working right now gives the surety of future employment, that letter can fulfill the need to claim those 50 points? Kindly acknowledge.
