Urgent Advise:Foreign Work Exp. Needed for Claiming Points for 50 points ?

Hi Friends,

I am in the process of filling forms for ITA. And seem to have got my self into a sticky situation.NEED URGENT ADVICE.

Facts:

-CRS Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience- 50 points as per my ITA.
-My CLB level is 9. (Listening-8.5, Reading-8, Writing-7, Speaking-7.5)
-These points are on the basis of my experience of 13.5 years while filing my Express Entry profile.
-NOC under which I have claimed points : 0601 Corporate Sales Managers.

But a big chunk 8 year of my work experience is from of insurance companies in the area of sales/business development .I just realized that CIC mentions under 0601 Corporate Sales Managers that:
-sales district manager (except insurance and real estate)
-district manager, sales (except insurance and real estate)

All such designations designations are included in 0121 Insurance Real Estate Financial Brokerage Manager:
•insurance manager
•business development manager – damage insurance
•branch manager – insurance
•insurance regional manager
•insurance sales district manager
•insurance sales manager
•manager, insurance sales
•sales manager, insurance


-One employer has refused to give an experience certificate….time period claimed is 3 months.

-One employing company (of 2002) has closed down and has been taken over by another company…....though I am could trace out my supervisor…......…time period 6 month.


As a result I am just left with 4 years and 10 months for work experience which can be claimed under 0601 Corporate Sales Managers

Therefore, I fear that the Visa Officer might not accredit this experience and I might not get the credit of CRS Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience- 50 points as per my ITA.

-Hence I just need to know what are the minimum number of years of Foreign Work Exp. needed for claiming (and now proving) 50 pt under NOC : 0161 in CRS ?

-Alternatively is there any way I can change my NOC now ,from 0601 Corporate Sales Managers. to 0121 Insurance Real Estate Financial Brokerage.

Hi,

1) You need 3 years of work experience in any NOC to claim 50 points.
2) If you have not yet received an ITA just edit your profile. If you choose to change after getting an ITA then you need to explain why you have changed.

My advise is if you can get a reference letter/s showing that you have more than 3 years experience in 0121 in the past 10 years, change your selected NOC. It will be safer.

But if I am easily surpassing the threshold of 3yr (this figure is heartening to know)in NOC 0601 do you still suggest me to change my NOC ?...How to give an explanation for it and where?

1) It must be from within the last 10 yrs.
2) In the Letter of Explanation. You just say your experience is better suited to NOC 0121.
3) It was a typo error, meant you must change to 0121.
