Hello everyone,

I just submitted my PR application a few days ago (PNP Inland), and I just realized that I've been back to the USA a couple of times since receiving my FBI PCC (In June of 2018).

I'm a US citizen who has resided in Canada for the past six years, and my trips to the USA were short (a couple of weeks for Xmas and once to an airport).

I'm also traveling to the USA for Xmas this year from 12/17 - 12/31.

My understanding is that as long as I haven't resided in the USA for more than six months since the issuance of the last PCC I don't need new one.

As the Canada.ca site say:

"For any other country
For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row."

But....

If I do need a new one, should I get it before I leave for Xmas and submit via a CSE?

Or should I wait until I get back to Canada and do it in the New Year?

Any assistance is appreciated!

Just spoke to our lawyer today about this and it's not a problem as we didn't reside in the USA, just visited.

Seems like there's a lot of people on the forum saying that you need a new police certificate if visiting a country again, so I thought I'd update this thread to help others.
