I am preparing documents for EE CEC. From Aug this year IRCC requires an upfront e-medical. I submitted it almost 2 years ago for Working holiday permit. I've never gone out of Canada so far. Should I do it again? Some say I should some do not. So confusing. Please share your opinion and help!!

No, you don't need to redo it. There's a temporary policy that allows you to use your previous medicals which was done within 5 years. Just submit the one you did before.

You may be exempt from completing another IME if you meet all of these conditions:
  • you applied or are applying for either permanent residence or temporary residence
  • you already live in Canada
  • you completed your previous IME in the last 5 years
  • your previous IME indicated a low risk or no risk to public health or public safety

Did you submit with old Medicals ?? I am going to submit my EE CEC application soon, need confirmation.

I did it with my old one, and I got passed. Carefully calculate your IME date, and it should have more than 6 months left to be 5 years for safety.

Preparing documents for Permanent Residence (PR) is stressful enough without conflicting advice! Since you are applying under the Express Entry (CEC) stream in 2026, the rules have recently shifted back to being quite strict.
