Updating IRCC regarding status

I just got my visitor record approved, my sponsorship + owp application was received at the 5th of may while i was still on implied status from the visitor record. So I am still waiting for the AOR, once I get that I should send them proof of my visitor record to update my status for the sponsorship and owp right?

1. Why? CIC knows your status, they issued the visitor record.

Was just wondering, considering they should get updated about different changes, if that was one too.
