There is no predetermined period through which your application get updated. Whenever the officer decides to update your application, the system shows an update. My application had not been updated for almost 3-4 months until the FP request showed up in the system and my application was updated.

Interesting, my application was updated but nothing changed on tracker , does this mean i should expect an update soon

It’s called ghost update. Maybe yes, maybe no! I mean, Not necessarily. Sometimes officer does something with your application, verifies something, or puts an important note, but nothing is changed in the tracker, because nothing is completed yet, or no document is needed. For instance, my application was updated almost 2 months ago, a few days after the FP request was sent to me, and no new update showed up in the system since then. Did officer do something in my application? Yes! Did I see any change in the tracker? No. Good luck!

Only the people on this forum call it by this phrase. I doubt it makes any sense to an IRCC officer.

Updates are done daily (they say that somewhere on the T&C page).

If you file is updated by IRCC today. it will show up on the tracker at 6am Eastern Time the following day.

Hi all , my so-called ghost )))) update as follows

20 June 2023 , 22 June 2023 , 26 June 2023 , 29June 2023
Before that also to many times . But for about 2 months no changes on the tracker.
Updates usually happen at 11:12 Toronto local time.

You can login to the tracker and check the date on the right hand corner. Login will still work even if application is completed.
