Over the years i have collected social assistance.
Whenever I was employed Social assistance gave me a *TOP UP*
I came off Assistance ONE month before sending in the sponsorship for my wife.

I sponsored my wife April 2023 OUTLAND.
The job letter I sent to CIC stated that the job was temporary.
A few weeks later, I started collecting Employment Insurance.
I was approved to be a sponsor
July 2023, file was sent to P/Applicant country
My wife passed medicals Aug.2023.
FINALLY!!!!, In Sept 2023,I started a *permanent* FULL TIME, job
Background & eligibility in started Oct. 2023

Since then no updates from CIC.
Could the silence mean refusal is coming on financial grounds?
Would the Visa Officer contact me to send them an updated job letter or just refuse my sponsorship for unstable unemployment history?

Because other applicants have sent in their Sponsorship application after me, and got PR finalized 6mo & under.

Thanks in advance

I was told by a consultant that, if you find a job today you can stop social assistance today, and tomorrow apply to sponsor your spouse.
Because by the time the VO gets around to your file its like 6 months, and hopefully you are still at the same job.
The VO would ask you to re-do the IMM5532 form with job letter from employer, tax form etc .etc.
The VO can also check SIN with Revenue Canada
This also tells VO if you took Social Assistance during sponsorship
The employment/income must be registered with Revenue Canada
For instance if you give VO letter that you are a babysitting, cleaner, painter etc. and its not registered its not considered Income
The VO *can* also look at other Spouses employment history just as a indication of their work ethics.

Cases are processed much faster these days so I would recommend stopping social insurance and getting employed for a few months before applying for sponsorship
