Hi
I have applied for PhD in Mechanical Engineering, got positive response from the potential supervisor.

It would be very helpful to share your experience;
How much tuition fees does U of S charge for PhD/master s thesis based students?or do they waive tuition fees?
How much scholarship/stipend we can expect?
How about U of S reputation, ranking,International recognisation and future after Completetion of the dagree?

And ifpossible how about living in saskatoon living expenses and etc.

Thanks

Hello bro,
Congrats for ur Msc first of all, how much is the tuition fees? Do you have any idea? And what about ur visa status? When r u planning to travel to saskatoon?

Tution fees is mentioned on the website buddy.
And i will be applying for the visa in june.

Hi bro
I know its on website, my question was do they waive tuition fees for msc/phd thesis based students in any case if you get a scholarship from the department.
Did you get the scholarship?
If yes what scholarship you got and whats the value? If you can share than please. ...
usually in Australia r New Zealand if You get master s or phd scholarship it Includes tuition fees as Well you Know that.
is that same here as well? ?

Thanks

For what I have seen Saskatoon is a cheap city to live in... For example you can find shared private rooms at house or apartments to be shared with other people including everything (meaning electricity, cable, hs Internet, water, heat) for about 400-500$ a month... Most of them should not be far away from USASK... Maybe most a 10 or 15 minute walk..

Also I have seen USASK is ranked between the top 500 Universities world wide.. I don't remember exactly but was around #470 something or so... And I have heard that more than 90% of student get a job a few weeks after graduation

Thanks for the info bro, could you please have a word regarding scholarship as I asked in my previous question.

have read something about scholarships at USASK at a brochure... But frankly I don't remember.. Just try surfing its Web page... I know there is information... I just don't remember

Hey buddy,
In usask u can get scholarships in the form of TA,RA,GA etc.
The scholarship u get is mentioned in your acceptance letter. If no scholarship is provided u are eligible for being an TA like me but that is a little competitive again.
As an RA or GA u can expect to cover ur entire cost but as a TA u will earn enough to cover up your fooding costs only.
Hope that helps.
