Unable to submit original passport within 30 days

I applied for study permit on May 04 2017 and today ( May 06 2017) I received a mail from CIC to submit my passport within 30 days. I am not in India right now to submit my passport and will only come back on June 8th 2017. What can I do in this situation ?

Do I need to apply for a new study permit or do I need to ask the CIC for extension ?

You mean your application has been approved within 2 dayss.. wwooahhh thats was too good... anyways what you can do, you can send your passport to the country where you applied your visa..

Since you got a passport request, I'm assuming you applied online. In which case you can submit your passport to the nearest Canadian embassy, and doesn't have to be your country of citizenship. So i'm guessing for that would be Abu Dhabi?

Your application was processed in 2 days?? I think a lot of us are more interested in that part. Anyways you can submit your passport at any CIC location. Not necessarily where you're from.

I have a similar case. I was requested to submit the passport in ABu Dhabi within 30 days. but due to my scheduled business and personal trips. I am unable to do that. I informed Abu Dhabi immigration immediately with all the supports but its been more than a month and the deadline has crossed but still havn't got any response or confirmation from them. I also sent a reminder. but no response.

Should I assume that they will take my passport based on their earlier email and my intimation to them ?
If anyone go a reply on the extension request, please share your experience.

Hi please also advice me i am in the same situation was unable to submit passport with in 30 days. Did they accept the passports for pr if deadline is finished. pls reply
