Hi Folks, Medicals in UK, any idea what the GP/Doctor will request for on arrival?
Please share your experience with me on you did yours.
Thanks.

The gp will request to see your passport and of course the medical forms from CIC. your passport photo may also be required. Some may ask for a self addressed envelop to send your Hiv and STI test result. This was my experience with a GP/DMP in Manchester.

Brilliant answer don_c!
may I ask what hospital in Manchester you did the check? And for Passport, my little daughter is still processing her's do you know what they need this for? or if I show her other photo ID (My country's ID card), birth certificate and NHS card, will these be acceptable?
Thanks

Hi Don_C

1) Did you have to sign the consent form to allow the DMP to access your medical records from your GP?

2) How much did it cost?

3) Can you share which DMP in Manchester please?

Thanks

Not sure exactly how much but kids is £60 and xray is also £60. If I check the receipts I will let you know
. It was Altrincham medical practice, Norman's place. Dmp is Dr. Adams. They provide English and French service. The other one in Manchester is also good.

Thanks.

Could you kindly inform if you had to sign the consent form to allow the DMP to access your medical records from your GP?

Yes, I signed some sheets but not sure I saw any for nhs medical records. Think they do their own tests and even if they look at the medical history may be for reference purposes. The medical can be done by any DMP anywhere hence dwelling on the nhs records will be limited to Uk.
