We got a letter from Immigration Canada that said our application (which is inland spousel sponsorship) was received & they gave us a UCI# does that mean they have all the documents they need & will forward the application to an officer for review? Or is there still a chance they can send it back?

Minimal chance of being sent back. This is AOR 1

If they need anything now they'll most likely just ask.

You seem to have been on this forum for a long time now... That is basic terminology for Acceptance Of Receipt.

Join one of the threads for the month you applied. Read the beginning of the thread or even the new ones in January 2020 and February 2020.

There's Inland and Out. You learn a lot more from reading other people's situations.

There's also a spreadsheet that you can track your progress along with everyone else. I don't know much more about your case. But just read to make the time go by. That's what I do. Good luck

Thank you What does AOR mean?
AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt

After they receive your application they review it to make sure it is complete, meaning you have:

  • answered all questions on the form
  • sent all the required documents
  • paid the required fees
If it is complete, they send you the AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) letter. It means your application is complete and is ready to be processed.

If your application is missing information, documents or the fee receipt, they won’t accept your application and will send it back because it is incomplete. (you will not receive an AOR if the application is incomplete).

Once you receive an AOR, there is minimal chances that your application will be returned. However It does not mean that they wont request more for documents in the future.
