Typical time frame for submission acknowledgement from Mississauga center?

Hi, my application was accepted(Canada Post express delivery) on Nov 02, 2015 - how long is the typical time frame until I receive an official acknowledgement of receipt(in my email)?

If anyone can recount the time frame from their own application(outland), it would be helpful.

I am anxious to get this started.

Anywhere from a couple of weeks to never. Generally few months.

AOR1 usually takes anywhere between 3 to 8 weeks. You can take a look at 2015 spreadsheet to have a feel on different stage timelines throughout the year.

As others have mentioned, you're looking at 3-7 weeks or so for Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR).

After that, it's likely another 4-8 for Sponsorship Approval (SA).

SA is the last step before your application leaves Mississauga to your secondary VO. Some VOs will send you AOR2 either by mail or email. Some VOs won't. (One of the VOs that won't send you AOR2 being Ottawa.)

After your application arrives to your secondary VO, there's usually several months before your application is looked at by a CIC agent. Every VO has different averages, so definitely check out the spreadsheet (you can find in my signature and in sashali's previous post) to see averages—and follow, too, the thread for your specific country/VO.

You may not get one at all (not everyone does). It's possible you won't hear from CIC until the sponsor has been approved.
