My husband & I need to list our home in WI & sell before moving...

we are debating bringing our stove/fridge or including it in the sale. In viewing properties online it would appear that more often than not-in fact I can't think of any I saw - it appears stoves are electric moreover... our current stove is a gas.

Can anyone chime in on it?
Thanks!

Where I've lived, stoves have always been electric although at one house there was a gas pipe leading to behind the stove although it seemed to be old. Stoves and fridges always come with a rented house, even a bought house unless it is brand new so I don't think you should bother to take them with you.

I agree! I have a gas stove and its cheaper to fix an electric stove also cheaper to install. You need a certified person and just to install a gas stove it costs 150 - 200 dollars. So electric might be best.

Thanks for the replies. The stove is a year old, so we were debating it... I think we'll be OK/solid in our choice to include it in the sale of our home now though - given it won't work likely and extra expense. I think i'd rather spend $200 more on an upgraded stove or fridge :D

So funny that you guys (our PR Twins) are asking this question. I too have noticed that all the stoves in the homes we have looked at are electric. Gosh I hope that the dryers are at least gas LOL.

You house in the US will probably sell better with a stove in it! Once we are all in Canada, if we are ever down the same way we should get together.

Lol, definitely. I know, we debated leaving the washer/dryer too... it's also gas.

We are headed to London, Ontario, but may move onto Toronto if my husbands job would take him there.
