My husband forgot to mention that he applied for permanent resident to Canada during Tsunami time. He got rejected before. We forgot to mention in the application about this situation. The immigration officer pointed out 3 mistakes which was different from previous application. They believe is a fault statement. What will going to happen? We sent all the required letter's and statements. I don't know what will happen next... feeling confused and lost. :(

Just so we understand . . . you mean. "Hey CIC, there's a tsunami going on just now so I may have up to half a dozen mistakes in my application. Please bear with us, our next application will be completely different." ? ?

Sorry to be blunt, that's how your post(s) read to me.

What's going to happen?? You got THREE HUGE discrepancies to explain for now. You were confused and lost before . . . better snap out of it soon or your application is going nowhere.

The applicant is supposed to mention any previous visa applications on the forms. If the applicant does not, this can be cause for a finding of misrepresentation, which means the application will be refused and the applicant will be banned for two years from applying again.
3 discrepancies from a previous application might also be grounds for a finding of misrepresentation. This would depend on how serious the visa officer feels the differences are, and whether he or she feels they were just honest mistakes or lies.
All you can do about the discrepancies is explain why these details are different. If you have a good reason, just explain and show any proof you have. For the failure to mention the previous visa application, you can try explaining you did not understand the question on the form that asked about previous applications.

Hi CanadianWoman,

Thanks for your explanation. Yes, I gave all the necessary information. We did not know and didn't understand the application forgot to mark that portion. Hopefully the visa officer approves our explanation along with out proof. So scared now what going to happen next.

Thanks also truesmile...
