Can I apply for a Temporary resident visa seeing that I have applied for PR visa(AOR Feb 06). I want to know if it advisable and how difficult is it. I am on a J-1 Visa that expires in June 09 and I am currently employed as a teacher here in the USA. Thanks.

Yes, but you will have demonstrate that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit.
