Hey my bf was denied visitor visa reason that he does not have enough reason to return back to uk. He is a student in uk and has a valid visa until 2012. He wants to come and see her daughter who is now 22 months.
We sent, emp letter, bank statements, lease of agreement and he did have his bank statements. Any ideas we could do to improve situtation?

Did he provide a letter from the university proving that he was a regular and fulltime student in UK?

Once he is denied the visa, there is big chance that he would be denied second time. All the supporting documents your Bf submitted with application to the visa office showed that he may not return to UK.

Can't you sponser him as you are his common-law patner?

Ice cube.

Yes the above is a good idea. Letter form the university/college that the person is a bonafide student and that his course finish date/month/year. If the visa officer has had any college/university education he may realise that someone who has paid thousands of pounds as fee for education will not leave it midway to stay back in Canada.

But be prepared for anything. Canadian visitor visas can be refused for the most stupidest reasons.

Thanks for your input. The immigration officer said, I can see you have strong ties in canada, Financially have good bank statements, he asked him why i did not include him on my pr, - explained we were not married then and didn t have enough evidence, then he said you have also apply for skilled immigrant (PR) then he said yes. The uni letter stated he finishes in June, can he take another letter from uni? for appeal. We only lived together for 11 months and then we had to come to canada to process my daughters pr,. So not sure if those 2 months can be overlooked. We couldnt stay together because i had to see a specialist who lived in london for my medical case while preg and could find one near his house.

Any ideas.
