TRV renewal for dependent child In Canada awaiting PR

Hello, my husband and I are PR holders and my son came to Canada on a TRV. His TRV expires end of Nov'22, but we have already applied for his PR inland and the status on IRCC shows "In progress". Do I still need to renew his TRV? appreciate the help!

Yes you must apply to extend his stay in Canada.

You definitely have to apply for extension, do it ASAP.

How long ago did your son enter Canada? The TRV expiry date is irrelevant. What matters is when he entered Canada. Yes, you need to apply for an extension and you need to do this before your son reaches the six month mark of being in Canada.

Thank you! yes, I have now applied via paper application for extension of stay. TRP expires 29th Nov
