I think you have to wait for 10 days. After you will get validity of biometrics or correspondence letter then 2-3 days, you’ll have result.
Good luck.

Thanks! Is it 10 calendar or business days? Also, regarding the validity of biometrics or correspondence letter - will I have to receive a message saying the biometrics is valid until ____ (I already see this info online where it says it is valid until May 2029).

Thanks for replying. The application is for a friend's son (I'm already in Canada as PR) but yes, Manila Visa Office. Hopefully we'll see a favourable update by tomorrow or Friday! :)

Hi there,

I’m planning to apply super visa for my mother and my husband will be the co-signer as I don’t have income. His income is above the LICO. My mother doesn’t have travel history but has strong ties to Philippines as she has a teaching job, my sister is still 13 years old, she has properties (though their house is not titled but she’s gonna talk to lawyer what legal paper she could get) and has savings (not much...probably $4kor5k). My question is how will we justify the more than 6 months visit? We want her to stay longer than 6 months so it’s worth the fare and insurance and she’s thinking of taking a year leave of absence. Do you really have to put an itinerary? Or just state that we wanted her to stay for a year.

Thank you so much.

IMO, for parents super visas, you don't really have to justify why she's staying in Canada for a year. A lot of people do it. The leave of absence from school plus your husband's income and required insurance (plus the other super visa requirements) would be enough.

Thank you! My husband is scared that our application might get rejected as it is hard to justify one year visit. And do we need to show bank statement? Is it okay to say one of the reasons of the visit is for her to see the grandkids as she never met them and spend time with them. Or would that weaken her application as it might mean her babysitting the kids?

Your finances ought to be mandatory with a super visa application.

If there's one thing I noticed, the Manila VO seems to be more lenient with visiting grandchildren as a reason.
