Hey @Kira
That happened to me like couple of months ago. Same update I never submitted any additional docs but I got an uodate additional docs are being reviewed and then back to no additional docs required.

111 Days for me. Something changed on the IRCC automated service though. The automated message said no additional documents are required full stop. Before it was the additional documents you have provided are being reviewed. I think there is work being done. It's just a matter of time time and more time!!:( hopeful to hear something this week, Jesus, Allah, all Gods please help me and those others waiting for their dreams to come true!
Hey

Thank you Nana, Nick-Nick, kira260 for wishes :D

As everybody is curious, I have submitted the following:

Application Form for TRV
Family Form
Travel History
Current Passport
Photo
That’s it !

And, Yes I have travelled to US in past. (Before 2010) And also have a Valid U.S visa right now too.
I was being processed under CAN+ which has a processing time of 2-5 working days.

There was a similar case for my U.S. visa as well, didn’t carry a single document to the interview nor have submitted any in application. And I was granted the visa very easily. You need to fill the form in a precise way and should know what you are writing! Easier said than done… but it’s a fact. It’s the information U provide decides how much credible your application is.

After my U.S. visa I got tons of queries on how can I get the visa twice without a single paper and now it seems the same query for Canadian visa!

Seems like I am a visa specialist! - Lemme try to assist everybody who are getting rejected… PM me if U need any kind of personal help in re-apply OR form filling...... :D

But the forms are very straightforward. You just have to answer truthfully. I am so shocked that your applications have been approved just like that! You are very lucky. There are so many people on here who have US visas as well and do not even get processed under CAN+ even if they request it.

It is straightforward, but as i said "You have to know what you are writing" technically, and it will fall straight to CAN+ category without even asking.

Okay I understand how you wrote something to get your application into CAN+ Category however how did you write yourself into getting approved? I don't know what US visit visa forms are like but Canadian ones don't allow for explanation or writing it's just boxes to fill with information.

roundoff1 has been incredibly lucky both for his US B1/B2 visa and his Canada TRV. Simply submitting an explanation without evidence.... and by attending a US visa interview without having any documents (yeah, a just-in-case-you-are-asked-kind-of-situation).... doubly confirms he was incredibly lucky to get away without any evidence/supporting documents.

99.9% of applicants who do not include explanations backed by evidence/proofs are likely to be refused visas

That just goes to show that Canadian immigration is extreamly flawed and might even be bias.... again I'm happy for him but there are people like me and @Mrmoody90 who have been waiting for so long and I paid money to put together a good application including all documents. @Mrmoody90 has also missed so many milestones in his married life because of security checks... really horrible.

I'm perplexed about your case vis-a-vis the background checks: You have not traveled/lived in high-risk countries, nor do you work in an area which requires background checks.... your academics are not in critical, sensitive research areas (unless you are a nuclear scientist and IRCC will tell you about it LOL).

As for MrMoody90, it's absolutely amazing how he has endured this endless waiting with infinite patience. His case is super SUPER perplexing.... to the extent IRCC has not issued the GCMS notes even after months

I have contacted many lawyers and they said to me they have seen similar cases to mine where they just randomly decide to do bc check. As you said roundoff is very lucky, maybe we are just very unlucky!!

Don't lose hope or get disheartened :)

You will get your TRV even though it is taking ages

Thanks Bryanna:) I will keep waiting. Just hope those who have been waiting forever will get a visa soon. We spent money and worked hard to get everything together for a strong application. Having been refused before it's tough to wait so long without surety.

Wish you all the best @kira260 and we are all in the same boat who are still awaiting their Canadian visas
