Trv granted. Does it require a visit within 6 months?

Hi everyone. My trv was granted in aug17. I came to know from some of my friends and agents that you need to visit atleast 1 time before 6 months from the date of granting of visa. If you don't visit within time frame and will visit later then you need to explain to the immigration officials about the reason for not travelling earlier after granting the visa.

Never heard that rumour before you are free to visit any time whilst the visa is valid.

Sure CBSA might ask the question but would just be routine question like being asked about purpose of visit and simply answered with plans change or being able to schedule vacation time and so on.

Just answer any questions honestly and do not confuse matters by volunteering extra information , answer only questions asked. This particular question may not even be asked.
