what is timeline for work permit extension applied inside canada.
in previous comments, I see some got work permit extension processed within 30 days and some are waiting for more than 180 days.
When I applied initial work permit back in India, all application are processed in sequentials order.
Do some one know, how IRCC processing application ?

Hi there, I have a question, if you are already inside Canada, why do you still need to apply for a visitor's visa?
All temporary residents (Students, WP holders) needs a Visa to return to Canada. Students or Work permit holders do not need a visa to continue their studies or to work within Canada as long as their study/work permit is valid. Visa is needed only at a time they return to Canada through immigration. (Travelling overseas and coming back to Canada) Most students or workers extend their permits within Canada and every time they get an extension TRV is not automatically renewed. So they have to apply for a visa to extend the validity of their visa.

Counterfoil generated january 13. Tracking updated last night. I’d post my whole timeline upon passport delivery.

How long it will take after tracking get activated .my tracking is also activated on 17 at 2:45am and it said montreal and stucks over there no any update after that
Depends on where you live. I expect mine to take a couple more days cos I live on the island in BC. But should be max 2-3 days if weather conditions are favorable because expresspost.

I find that the passports are dispatched long before the tracking is activated. Mine was dispatched at 5pm and tracking only activated at 10pm
