I request all the 2013 Dependent/TRV for spouse applicants join this thread and share your timelines and experiences

Applied TRV for Spouse on Mar-15-2013 at NEW Delhi
Docs included.

1) Invitation Letter
2) Visa and Work permit Photocopy
3) Employment Letter
4) Pay stubs
5) Marriage Certificate
6) Bank statement

I applied for TRV for my spouse on December 17,2012 and still it's showing as under processing.
Now sure how long more it will take.

OMG!!! Its already more than 3 Months.

What is your status in Canada PR or Work Permit ?

Which location you sent your file?

I am on work permit and a PR applicant under CEC.
Applied thru my company from Hyderabad at VO New Delhi.
Really frustrated with this long wait...

Iam an indian citizen and would be soon marrying a canadian PR.
KINDLY ADVISE if i can go along with him on a tourist visa.
If yes should the tourist visa be requested before or after marriage(as honeymoon)
Also,would it have any effect on the immigration visa if my tourist visa gets rejected?and can my immigration processing me done from.canada or should it be started.from india only.

Which country are you from? Did you applied online? I find it odd that they are requesting meds for a TRV, but I guess it really doesnt mean anything.

Thank you for your reply.

Since, TRV doesn't mean a Visitor Visa. Medicals are required for that.

My Wife applied TRV( SInce there is nothing like Dependent Visa in CanadaSpouse of work permit holders are supposed to apply TRV or OWP to accompaign their Partner) to join me and requested the High commisiion to permit the VISA until the expiry of my VISA, which is good till june 2015.

There fore she requires a Medical checkup since the length is greater than Six Months.

By the way, She applied from India, VO New Delhi through VFS.

Hello,


Usually Permenent residents are supposed to sponsor their partner. After sponsorship gets approved High Commission will request you for the Medicals and Passport.

However, There is no harm in applying a tourist Visa, But I would suggest you to apply for a Vistor Visa Indicating that you would like to join your husband after the marriage.

Since , The Time frame for the Visitor visa is just a few days I would recommend you to give a try with all the required documents.

Usually high commission asked for medical after their decision made for you and in such condition its 95% sure that you will get visa and when they are issuing visa with long time(more than 6 month) they asked for medical. Best of Luck ......

Can You all please help me, i am applying for visitor visa for attending my wife convocation in June 13 and i was rejected before 7 month when i applied for visitor visa with my wife(she applied for study permit) at that time i didnt submit any document of mine just CV and income source from my office. They give reason that i dont have any personal assets and sufficient fund to help me stay out there.So anyone help me what document should i make so that my visa ability will be strong.

Note:
I am a permanent job holder.
I have around 17000 cad in my bank account
I have some land and 1 house in my name beside my father property.
Beside my job i have 1 partnership business
Now i am slowly looking after my dad company too.
