I received my PR in Nov 2014 but had to return to my home country (India) early 2015 due to a family situation. I have had to stay here until now and thinking of returning back fall 2016.
I would like to take my Mother along with me when i return to Canada. I would like to know which option/reason for visit would be most feasible for her to get a TRV - Visitor or Tourist?
The thing is since i don't work in Canada currently i cannot invite her to visit as they request for supporting documents (Employment/Invite letter etc). I will be returning to work at the same company in canada under a transfer but the details have not been worked out yet. I am just wondering if she could apply for TRV for the purpose of Tourism which wouldn't need an invite and only supporting documents, although she would be accompanying a family member (me) who is a PR. What would be the best option for me here? I would greatly appreciate pointers/suggestion from the forum members here. Thanks!
