Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I are going to have our engagement in the next couple of months. She is on a study permit, and I am on my PR and filed my citizenship application, but it hasn't been granted yet; it is still in process. We want to invite her parents to our engagement; I wonder if it is possible for her or me to invite them and attach the ceremony confirmation that we received from the city. The reason I am asking is that I am not directly related to them, at least now, and am not a citizen yet. we also going to apply for her PR after our ceremony and wonder if this invitation could hurt her process or could lead to a rejection for her parents. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanks a bunch.

Since you already got your marriage license, they can apply for a regular visitor visa or wait until she becomes PR to try for a super visa.
Neither of us is a citizen yet. Can we invite them? We just want them to be in our engagement. Can we add the invitation letter? If so, who should be the invitee, me or my partner? thanks for the response
