I am an international student from Bangladesh and I just graduated from Ryerson. I had recently applied for my brother to attend my graduation ceremony, but his visa got rejected. He is a 2nd year international student in Turkey. The reason they provided for his rejection was "travel history" and "personal assets". I don't see any reason why travel history would be a problem. As for personal assets, a letter from my dad was provided with bank statements since he is the sole financial supporter for my brother. My brother's personal bank statements were not provided, is that the reason?

Travel history can be a problem if someone has a limited travel history, and thus their likelihood to abide by visa conditions cannot be assessed.
"Personal assets" can mean that the visa officer felt that your brother did not have enough financial capacity to pay for his trip, especially if his statements were not provided. Additionally, the visa officer cannot always rely on your father's commitment to pay your brother's expenses.
There are additional reasons: as a student in Turkey, your brother may not have sufficient "ties" to his country of residence - no compelling obligation for him to leave Canada, as he's already not at home (Bangladesh) and is living abroad.

For the travel history part, I think I know the reason. He had a new passport recently which only had one travel history. If I scan his old passport this time, there were multiple times he went to Bangladesh.
For the personal assets, I previously did not think its necessary to attach his Turkish bank statement since I assumed my dad's letter would be sufficient (in his letter he said my son depends on me). So this time i'm thinking of attaching my brothers statements as well, where he has around CAD 2500. I can maybe tell him to write a letter saying he has sufficient for airfare, and then the dad's letter will talk about supporting him for a month? I personally don't have 10K in my bank or I could show mine and all this problem would be solved.

No, it's not just travel home from his country of residence as a student. The point of travel history is for the visa officer to see proof you've traveled to countries with significant immigration draws - places people want to immigrate - along with serious visa requirements, so that they can evaluate your past history of following visa rules. Travelling between Turkey and Bangladesh doesn't do this. Travelling to the US or the EU a number of times does.
Funds are part of it. The rough estimate I've seen here is that you should plan for $1000 CAD per week of travel. $2500 is good for two weeks. Not a month. I'd encourage your brother to re-apply for a shorter timeframe.
Additionally, what are some reasons why your brother must return home or to Turkey after your convocation? What would make him not overstay his visa illegally? Discuss that in the statement of purpose.
So 2 questions...How do they know he's applying for 2 weeks vs 1 month? Should this be mentioned in his letter of explanation? Also, I can attach a flight itinerary that would show his return in 2 weeks.
Second question: Proof that he won't overstay...a letter from his university states that he's enrolled in a 4 year program. They should understand he's expected to be back in class by September. Or does he need more documents from his university?
The application requires you to submit proposed dates of travel, and you are encouraged to submit an itinerary and travel plan.
People drop out of school to migrate. People enroll in horrid schools to migrate. Has he picked classes for September already? Does he have a schedule he can show? Are there other obligations?
