I have tried contacting several consulates in the United States and none have been useful as they will not take a phone call inquiry. My husband has a Wet & Reckless charge from January 2004 and we are traveling for 5 days in July to Edmonton for a Family Reunion. We were just made aware of the entrance requirements into Canada and I am afraid he won't be allowed in. If we show documentation of the family reunion, our hotel and flight confirmation and financial security - will he be given a TRV? Also, I've been told that he may not even be checked at customs? Is it worth it to apply for a visa? What can I do to make sure he can get in? I need HELP, please provide me with any advice, it is GREATLY appreciated.
