Hi All,

My sister (Canada PR) applied my TRV online on May 6th, and the stated processing time has already passed. I have received 2 emails from NDVO saying that we have received and processing your request, but nothing further.
About myself, I am working with Govt of India in nuclear field, and had provided NOC while applying. My leaves are already approved as per NOC letter. Also, I have visited US as well last year but my US Visa is expired.

Can someone please suggest what and how can I approach my case updates. My sister has a ceremony planned in July, I really need to be there to attend.

Thanks!

IMO, you can expect non-standard processing time for your application as you work in a critical area

Thank you Bryanna for the reply. However, I'm worried how much longer do I need to wait as it's been more than 7 weeks now. Do you or anyone in the group have experience with a case like mine and the approx time it takes.

It will take as long as it is required for the visa office to make a decision. You're employment in the nuclear field is considered as sensitive and critical. IMO, the visa office could possibly be investigating your job responsibilities

Hi I’ve applied for my trv through agent by offline on may 25 and it’s been a month and the status says your application is been processed in Banglore high commission. If Anyone knows any details about it? Please do update.
I am applied in April still no reply

As you work in a critical area (especially the nuclear field), you can expect processing in your case to take longer than the standard processing time.

You can send a IRCC web form to request for an expedited decision
