Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well. I am currently in the process of applying for Temporary Resident Visas (TRV) for myself and my wife. Here's our situation:
My wife received her PGWP and I got my SOWP extended for 3 more years. Our visas have expired, and we plan to travel home soon, so we are applying for TRVs.

I have started a new application in the IRCC portal and have prepared the following REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
For my wife (the former student):
  • IMM5257 (Application for Visitor Visa)
  • Work Permit
  • Passport
  • IMM5713 (Family Information Form)
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Proof of upfront medical exam
  • Photo
For myself (Family Member 1):
  • IMM5708 (Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder)
  • Passport
My question is, do we need to provide any additional documents as OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS? Specifically, I'm wondering if we should include:
  • Letter of Explanation (SOP)
  • Proof of funds
  • Employment Letters
  • Degree Certificate
  • Or, any other relevant documents
Any advice or suggestions from those who have been through this process would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help.
