TRV Application delayed (September applicant)

I applied for the Temporary resident visa at Ottawa office on the 25th September, 2014. I am yet to receive any notification from CIC. They haven't not replied to my email request for process time detail. I am beginning to worry now for my safety of passports as the website says the processing time is 14 days only and they are working on applications submitted on the 26th September 2014.

Is there anyone who is applied around September and experienced the same delay?
Is there any other way to get an reply from CIC to my queries?

Hello,

Have you received your passport? How long did it take? I am in the same boat, They received my passport on Oct 27th but I have not heard anything back since then, I am very worried.
