I have a visitor visa extension and I'm wondering if I can go to USA for one week or I need to apply for TRV? I'm still waiting for my OWP. Thanks

do you have a Canadian Visa with Multiple entries ? if not you may be denied entry at the border .

Unless you have a multiple entry visa, it's not advisable to leave Canada until you have that OWP.

Ah, sorry, I thought you meant can you travel to the us with your current Canadian visa. If it's not multiple entry, I wouldn't risk it, as if you aren't allowed back in, your PR app is cancelled.

From the IRCC site:

You can request to return to Canada on your original single-entry temporary resident visa, if:

• you will only visit the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon; and
• you will return to Canada before the end of your approved stay in Canada.

OWP doesn't guarantee re-entry , you must remain in Canada until you'r grated PR .
