Trip missing in CBSA record and no passport reentry stamp

I left the country for 7 months but the officer did not stamp my passport when I returned and the CBSA does not have a record of my re-entry (I requested a copy of my entries from CBSA and the entry after this trip is missing). I declared this trip in my application but am wondering if it will lead to complications. Should I take additional documentation when called in for the test/interview? Anyone know of a similar case?

Yes if you have boarding pass /tickets to prove your return date. If there are no stamps for your return then there are chances that you will be issued RQ. Do you have an exit stamp from the country you were coming from?

Thanks for posting. Yes, I have entry stamps and exit stamps for the 3 countries that I visited.

You are ok. If anything you have declared more absences than what they have in their records. That can't go bad.

My spouse have the same issue. We made a day trip to USA... in the CBSE report is missing entry back into Canada!

I emailed the CBSE contact on the report. No reply...

During my recent re-entry to canada. I asked the CBSE officer that my spouse report is missing entries. The office said, they can't do anything and simply said the Officer would have missed to scan the passport/PR card. He also advise to clarify this during the Citizenship Interview, if asked...!!

Since, Myself and my spouse re-entered on same day. I have the details on my CBSE report details related to time, Office Name, Gate# etc., So I'm going to write a letter with all details and Also attach the email I sent to CBSE on the missing entry... If the Citizenship office asks for details, my spouse will be giving this letter... That's the best I can think off.

My spouse has test & interview on 1 Sep.

How you doing. Its been long time buddy (Skilled Workers immigration forum , SAP 2007 London office ... do you remember?)

It is not your fault that the officer didn't stamp your passport (he could scan it in stead of stamping ). Don't worry , I hope you will be ok since you have all the other stamps clearly shown on the passport and it will be much better if you retained the boarding passes for that travel.

Since you have declared your absence you should be ok. Do not bring it up by yourself. Since this is a long absence keep good explanation (if possible with evidence) for the absence. Most likely they will ask for the reason of your absence than the missing entry.

Also during your absence what was your source of income. If you were using your savings to sustain show that proof.

If lets say that you were not out for 7 months and you miss an entry stamp then it is a totally different scenario where you have to prove your physical presence.

Thank you everyone for your opinion. I'll gather supporting documentation like credit card statements and work documents for the interview and post my experience here when I cross that bridge.

I'm in the same situation, missing one entry stamp when travelling by bus (that was the only time I traveled by road). Was your spouse asked about this in the interview?
