Tree planter looking to apply for work permit at the border

Hello

I am a us citizen going to apply at the Canadian border for my work permit in 2 weeks. I have a position confirmed as a tree planter. I have a letter from my boss.

What else do I need to bring with me to the border?

As I cross do I simply say I would like to apply for a work permit?

Do I need an LMO?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you researched this at all? If not, I suggest you work through http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-can.asp

I think that you will need an LMO as I don't see your occupation in the exemptions.
